      Frequently Asked Questions

How do I stand out as an applicant?

We want to learn who you are and what makes you interested in startups/venture capital in your application. We look for students who demonstrate active involvement in communities, ecosystems, and networks that expose them to tech innovations, entrepreneurs, and start-ups.

When applying to our Scout program, we ask students to submit a company they would like to share with Collide to give us a sense of the type of startup they would pitch. While it is not critical to match a company that perfectly fits Collide’s investment criteria in your application, we advise you to inform your pitch based on Collide’s typical investments: Pre-Seed to Series A companies, software-enabled, enterprise companies, and based in the United States or Latin America.

What is the elegibility criteria to participate in a student program?
      • You must currently be enrolled in a full-time university program in the US.
      • For academic credit, please work directly with your university to understand the requirements.
What does the application process look like?

We have a single form for an application. Top candidates are invited to interview on a rolling basis before final decisions are made. While applications are closed, we have a waitlist for students to demonstrate interest, and to receive a notification when applications re-open.
